Classification Services

Classification Services

We offer classification services, which are a system of verification and certification ensuring a ship's structural strength and integrity of its key components (like the hull, machinery, and systems). Through regular surveys, they confirm that a vessel is built and maintained according to the society's own technical rules and international conventions. Upon compliance, the ship is assigned a class notation, certifying its seaworthiness and reliability, which is essential for insurance and commercial operation.

Statutory Survey

More

Statutory Survey

We conduct statutory surveys on behalf of a ship's flag State. These are mandatory inspections required by international conventions (such as SOLAS, MARPOL, and Load Lines) to verify a vessel's compliance with global safety and environmental protection standards. Upon successful survey, the society issues the official international certificates required for the ship to trade internationally. While the society performs the inspection, the ultimate responsibility and authority remain with the flag State whose flag the ship flies.

ISM Code Audit

More

ISM Code Audit

We perform ISM Code audits to verify a shipping company's Safety Management System (SMS). These audits assess whether the company and its ships comply with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code's requirements for safe operation and pollution prevention. Upon successful audit, the society issues the mandatory Document of Compliance (DOC) to the company and Safety Management Certificates (SMC) to individual vessels, confirming that safety responsibilities are clearly managed and practiced both ashore and at sea.

ISPS Code Audit

More

ISPS Code Audit

We conduct ISPS Code audits to verify a ship's compliance with maritime security requirements. These audits assess whether a vessel operates in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, evaluating the Ship Security Plan, security equipment, and crew procedures. Upon successful verification, the society issues the mandatory International Ship Security Certificate (ISSC). This certificate confirms that the ship has implemented adequate security measures to protect against security threats, which is essential for port entry and international trade.

MLC inspection

More

MLC inspection

We perform Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) inspections to verify living and working conditions on board ships. These inspections assess compliance with MLC 2006 requirements regarding crew accommodation, medical care, food standards, working hours, and social rights. Upon successful verification, the society issues the Maritime Labour Certificate and Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance. This certification confirms that seafarers' welfare and legal protections are adequately maintained, serving as proof that the vessel meets international labor standards required for port state control inspections and global trading.

Emergency Response Services (ERS)

More

Emergency Response Services (ERS)

We provide Emergency Response Services (ERS) to support vessels in distress. These services offer rapid technical advice during emergencies such as grounding, collision, or cargo shift. Utilizing naval architecture expertise and onboard stability data, classification societies calculate damage stability, hull stress, and grounding forces to assist masters and salvage teams in making critical decisions. ERS helps mitigate risks to the crew, vessel, cargo, and environment, operating 24/7 to ensure immediate expert support when maritime emergencies occur.
